Our school is now organised into whanau groups. Each whanau has four classes, this may consist of a Year 1 and/or Year 2 class, a Year 3 and/or Year 4 class, and a Year 5/6 class. It has helped to encourage a sense of belonging, and the older children help the younger children in their whanau during whanau activities and in the playground. We meet for various activities, such as buddy reading, fitness, sports and whanau assemblies. Of course there is also friendly competition between whanau as well!
